The Miller Research Fellowship
Graduate Students:
The next application cycle for graduate school will take place in November 2025. Please see the UC Berkeley Plant and Microbial Biology Ph.D. Program for more information. UCB PMB does not offer an MS program. If you are interested in graduate work in our group, please reach out to me in advance of the application deadline, but note that admissions decisions are made my committee, not by the PI, and admitted students participate in three rotations before lab placements. I hope to accept one graduate student from the December 2026 cohort to start Fall 2027.
UNderGraduate Students:
We are currently recruiting two California Community College students for paid, 11-week mycology internships conducted this fall/winter on site at UC Berkeley. No prior experience is necessary, and mentorship and training are provided. The deadline to apply is September 1st, 2026. Click HERE for more information and application details.
In addition, we anticipate one opening for a UC Berkeley undergraduate researcher in our group starting Spring 2027, with a minimum commitment of one-year. To meet this commitment, applicants must be at least a year out from graduation when the position begins. If you are interested, please reach out any time after November 2026.
